Styles of yoga we offer:
All Levels Yoga
A hatha yoga class where alignment and breath are emphasized within the postures (asanas.) This is wonderful practice whether you are brand new to yoga or have been doing yoga forever. It builds stamina, flexbility, and strength and helps to acheive overall good health and wellness.
Active Flow (aka Vinyasa Flow)
A warming, faster-paced sequence. Focus is on breath and movement. Yoga postures strung together by sun salutations. These classes are generally good for people looking to do a bit of sweating or for people who have been practicing yoga, are comfortable with the postures, and would like more activity and movement in their practice.
Slow Flow
Like active flow: fluid movement takes you through a sequence of postures. This practice is warming and still focuses on breath and movement, but with slower, graceful movements.
Gentle Yoga
This class is very nurturing for the body and mind. The class focuses on gentle stretches and supported postures that will ease the body open gently, while the mind gets to just... let... go.
It's a lovely class if you aren't yet familiar with yoga, if you have an injury that you are trying to heal, or if your day(/week/month) has been long and you just want to relax.
Foundations of Yoga
Learn the basics of breath, posture, and alignment in this all levels class.
Prenatal Yoga
A yoga class to help support the body and mind during pregnancy and also to prepare you for childbirth and the amazing new time in your life.
The class focuses on postures that help open the body and make space for your baby, movements that can be used during labour, breathing techniques, and also sweet and well-deserved relaxation. Suitable for all stages of pregnancy.
Postnatal Yoga
Join other moms in taking time for yourself...
The postures range from strengthening- to help rebuild and heal the body after pregnancy and labour, and also relaxing- to nurture yourself which you probably haven't been doing!
Core Strengthening
Find your inner strength! Abdominal work is emphasized, but the class incorporates all kinds of powerful postures.
